Byron Ramos

Byron started his artistic journey in the Special Forces jumping out of helicopters performing daring sea rescues saving dozens of lives and creating art during downtime. Framed by his Veteran experience, seeing ocean tragedies, and navigating mass graves, it became the mission of the Artist to recall the universal human experience of migration. By recalling this human bond, he hopes we are kinder to those who are currently undergoing their own migration experience. Byron holds Utah Museums highest award becoming a 2024 Art Fellow. His works are frequently on display at the Springville Museum of Art and currently in St. George, UT’s “Art Around the Corner” and Taylorsville’s, UT “Plaza +ART.”
