Become a Volunteer

Loveland High Plains Arts Council is truly fortunate to have over 400 dedicated volunteers that help us out.  People tell us they volunteer because it is fun and rewarding!  Won’t you consider joining our team?

Most of our volunteer opportunities take place the weekend of the Sculpture in the Park show and sale, which is always held the second weekend in August.  The next show is scheduled for August 9, 10 & 11, 2024.

  • Verification of general admission tickets purchased online for Saturday and Sunday.

  • Provide general information to the public, regarding artist/tent locations, Shuttle Bus and show schedules and frequently asked questions.

Information Tent

Information Tent volunteers are the source of information for the Sculpture in the Park show, Benson Sculpture Garden, Loveland and Colorado. Volunteers answer questions, sell Park Guides and Show Catalogs, and help direct our guests through the park or to your favorite resturant. If needed volunteers may help with minor first aid.

Adopt-A-Garden & Planting Day

Do you enjoy exploring unique outdoor spaces like the Benson Sculpture Park? If you appreciate art in nature and have a passion for gardening, we have some beautiful gardens currently available for adoption. Adopting a garden can be active in its care and maintenance, enriching the environment and your gardening skills. We would be thrilled to have you involved and help nurture these vibrant spaces!

The Loveland High Plains Arts Council will supply plants, soil amendments, refreshments, and a welcoming atmosphere. The City of Loveland will provide mulch, dumpsters, and necessary tools for the project. Volunteers are encouraged to participate on the designated planting day, scheduled for the first Saturday in June. Furthermore, volunteers are invited to maintain the garden bed by keeping it free of weeds and ensuring it remains in good condition throughout the growing season, particularly in the weeks leading up to the Sculpture in the Park Show. This initiative is open to individuals, groups, clubs, or businesses interested in adopting a garden. A commemorative plaque will be installed in the adopted garden to recognize your contribution.

If you are interested in volunteering for Sculpture in the Park or adopting a sculpture garden, please submit the form above or call us at 970-663-2940. We can’t wait to talk to you!

All of our gardens have been adopted at this time. To be placed on a waiting list, please get in touch with us at (970) 663 - 2940 or office@sculptureinthepark.org.
